The newest entry into the local Banking scene opened its temporary offices at 7355 N. Palm Ave., Ste. 103 Christmas week.

President and CEO Tony Swartz turned the key that began the operation of Fresno First Bank, a State Chartered financial institution focusing on business.  Fresno First Bank will concentrate on serving Fresno and the surrounding Counties.

“We are not looking to be big,”  Swartz said.  “Our desire is to be focused; focused on giving the Fresno business community the absolute best service available anywhere.”

Swartz emphasized that the bank will respond quickly to its customer needs as all decisions will be local.

The Bank has assembled a staff of professional bank executives and employees with deep ties to the Fresno market.

The origins of Fresno First Bank began over two years ago by a couple of former board members of Regency Bank; David Price and Dr. Dan Suchy.  Remembering the unique service Regency gave to its customers, the desire was to once again offer a very personal and customized banking service to the Fresno community.

The Board of Fresno First is composed of many local business leaders including Price, Suchy, Dr. Robert Kubo, Mark Saleh, Jack Holt, Al Smith, Morris Garcia, Gary Cocola, Joel Slonski and Tony Swartz.

Indicating a strong sense of investor support, the initial offering was oversubscribed by close to 2 million dollars above the $16,500,000 Capital limit.  Over 450 local and regional investors participated in the offering.

Fresno First Bank’s permanent offices at 7690 N. Palm Avenue, Suite 101, will be available in late spring following completion of remodeling and construction.    Â
