Richard Whitsell - President & CEO
Mr. Whitsell brings over 40 years of banking experience to Fresno First Bank. He was employed by Bank of America in 1970 and later became the Senior Vice President and District Manager for 12 branches. Mr. Whitsell moved into community banking in 1994 and became the President and CEO of Capitol Valley Bank, a business bank focused on Small Business and Real Estate Development and Construction. In 2002, he joined Legacy Bank as their President and CEO. Mr. Whitsell’s background and vast experience fit ideally with the goals and business plan of Fresno First Bank
Steve Canfield - Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Canfield joined Fresno First Bank in 2007 as Executive Vice President and CFO bringing over 30 years of commercial banking, retail banking, management and finance experience to the Bank. A Fresno native, Mr. Canfield is a graduate of CSUF’s Craig School of Business and BAI’s bank management program at Duke University. Mr. Canfield began his banking career with Guarantee Savings & Loan and has held executive management positions with public and private companies including Regency Bank, Pacific Wireless Technologies and Fresno County Federal Credit Union.
Robert L. Reed - EVP, Chief Credit Officer
Mr. Reed joined Fresno First Bank in December 2008. He has over 25 years commercial lending experience and credit management. He is a 1987 graduate of Virginia Tech and earned his MBA from George Mason University in 1991. He started his banking career in community banks in the Washington, DC metropolitan area before moving to Colorado in 2000 where he was Senior Lending Officer for The Gunnison Bank and Trust Company and to California in 2004 where he was Chief Credit Officer for Community Banks of Northern California. Mr. Reed's experience includes setting and managing credit policies and directives for a variety of credit products and services including SBA, agriculture, asset-based, commercial real estate, construction, and mortgage lending.
Evangelina Gonzalez - SVP, Senior Operating Officer
Ms. Gonzalez began her banking career in 1980 with Kings River State Bank working in the area of Operations. She became the Data Processing Manager with Kings River State Bank and worked closely with the CFO, later becoming the Vice President/Cashier where she was responsible for managing Operations, Accounting and Information Technology, implementing various systems and programs for the bank. Kings River State Bank merged with Valley Independent Bank in 2001. Ms. Gonzalez later sought new opportunities with Kaweah National Bank. Ms. Gonzalez is currently the SVP, Senior Operating Officer for Fresno First Bank. She is also responsible for the Bank’s Compliance and Information Systems.
Craig DeShields - SVP, Senior Loan Officer
Craig DeShields began his commercial banking career in 1999 with County Bank. Prior to County Bank, Craig was a consumer loan manager for Town & Country Finance & Thrift for four years. With over 16 years of lending experience, Craig has managed the relationships for a vast range of industries including; professional services, manufacturing, wholesaler/distributors and retailers. Craig has been active within the Fresno community since moving here in 1996. He is an active member of the Fig Garden Rotary Club and current President of the Fresno, Madera, Tulare and Kings Chapter of Risk Management Associates.
Robert Longatti - Senior Vice President
Robert Longatti has over 40 years' experience in the banking and financial services industry. Those decades include experience with major as well as community banks. He has experience at all levels of banking from Branch Manager to various executive management positions. Mr. Longatti's entire banking career has been in the Valley, the last thirty-five years in Fresno. Bob received a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business Management from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obis and is a graduate of the California Agriculture Leadership Program.
Debbie Cameron - VP, Executive Assistant
Ms. Cameron has been in the banking industry for over 30 years. In 1978, she began employment in the operations department with Crocker Bank. In 1987, as a result of the merger with Wells Fargo Bank, she joined Regency Bank, a local community bank in Fresno opening new accounts for the business development team. In 1995, Ms. Cameron moved into administration and soon after became executive assistant to the bank president. After the merger between Regency Bank and California Bank & Trust, she supported CB&T’s regional sales team, assisted with Human Resources and was responsible for the public relations and special events for the bank. Over the years, Ms. Cameron has developed a vast knowledge of various areas of banking and was asked to join Fresno First Bank as Executive Assistant.
Kenneth Dodderer - SVP Agribusiness Lending Manager
Mr. Dodderer comes to Fresno First Bank with over 30 years of Agribusiness and Commercial banking experience. He began his banking career as a teller with Lloyds Bank of California to help pay his way through college and continued with the bank upon graduation. A native of Firebaugh, he has spent his entire banking career working in the Central Valley. Mr. Dodderer brings extensive knowledge and experience in Agribusiness banking to Fresno First Bank and now manages the Bank’s Agribusiness Lending Department. He earned his BS in Agricultural Business in 1979 from Fresno State University. He has also held leadership positions in numerous industry and civic organizations and currently serves on the board of Fresno Sunrise Rotary Club.
Lanny Chan - VP, Personal Banker
Mr. Chan brings over 35 years of experience to Fresno First Bank. His career in banking has spanned a wide range of responsibilities from commercial lending, sales management to personal and professional banking. For the last 20 years Mr. Chann has focused on servicing the banking needs of the medical profession, accounting and legal communities in the Greater Fresno area. He is recognized for his personal commitment to providing the highest level of customer service for his clients, which reflect the Bank’s commitment to excellence.
Teresa Palsgaard - VP, Commercial Relationship Manager
Ms. Palsgaard began her banking career with Lloyds Bank. During her 30 years of banking, of which 20 years have been dedicated to working with local community banks, she was employed by Fresno Bank of Commerce, Regency Bank and Central Valley Community Bank. Ms. Palsgaard has been committed to serving the banking needs of a variety of businesses and professionals throughout the Central Valley. She recently joined Fresno First Bank as Vice President/Commercial Relationship Manager. She is also Past President of the American Heart Association and an active community leader.
Michael W Fanucchi - SVP Government Guaranteed Lending Manager
Michael Fanucchi, a lifelong resident of Fresno County, started his lending career as an Underwriter with the US Small Business Administration for the Central California District. Over the past 20 years, he has worked in Government Guaranteed Lending (SBA & USDA) at Regency Bank, County Bank, and most recently at Suncrest Bank. During that time, Mr. Fanucchi has worked with borrowers a number of different industries including, professional practices, professional services, manufacturing and the ag service industry. In addition, to his position at Fresno First Bank, Michael serves as Chairman of the Board of the Business Finance Center ~ CDC of Tulare County is involved with Habitat for Humanity, Fresno County and on the board of the Risk Management Association for the Fresno, Madera, Kings, and Tulare region
Keith Wolaridge - VP Government Guaranteed Lending Officer
Raised in Merced, CA Keith Wolaridge has worked with small business throughout the Central San Joaquin Valley. With over 20 years in banking experience, he has worked for Mojave Desert Bank, Valley Small Business Development Corporation, Wells Fargo, and Union Bank of California. Considered a community and business leader Keith has served on numerous boards and committees in Kern County. These include, Kern County Human Relations Board, Workforce Investment Committee, Vice Chairman Kern County Black Chamber of Commerce, Stop the Violence, and Kern High School Citizens Advisory Council. In August of 2009, Keith was appointed to serve of the Panama Buena Vista Union Board of Trustees and elected in 2010. Keith holds a B.S in Accounting from California State University, Fresno and is a graduate of Pacific Coast Banking School.
